I don’t know about you, but the warmer the weather gets, the more appealing the ocean becomes. As beautiful as it may be, New York City can become an absorbing heat-trap among the asphalt and concrete between the tall buildings and narrow streets. This summer from July 29th to August 25th, the annual Harlem Week Festival will take place in New York City. This festival began as Harlem Day in 1974, but due to popular demand, the celebration extended its stay. This summer marks the 44th annual celebration that you do not want to miss. Harlem Week offers over 100 events showcasing the community’s unique flavor, promoting Harlem’s rich African, African-American, Caribbean, Hispanic and European history, culture, arts, religion, entertainment and sports.
