World Pride & Stonewall 50 Commemoration – From June 1st– 30th, 2019
The event of the year: New York welcomes in 2019 the biggest World Pride celebration around the globe. Festivities take place during the entire month of June and will coincide with the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Stonewall Riots of 1969, the most important event leading to the Gay Liberation/LGBT movement. More than 3 million visitors are expected for this major event, ending the 30th of June with a giant parade throughout the streets of New York. The parade will begin at noon on the corner of 26th Street and 5th Avenue and will be open to all who want to join.
The New Museum of the Statue of Liberty
Planned for May 2019, this brand-new museum dedicated to the emblematic Lady Liberty will be divided into 3 galleries: the first one consecrated to a theatrical experience in immersion, the second will retrace the creation process of the Statue designed by Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi, and the 3rd gallery will be a space to share experiences and reflections on what visitors have seen and experienced in the museum. At the close of the visit, you’ll be able to feast your eyes on the original torch dating from 1886, which was replaced in 1984, and you’ll also be astounded by the New York skyline from the steps of the museum’s patio.

The opening of Empire Outlets in Staten Island
A trip to New York is never complete without a little shopping! But, where must bargain shoppers go to find the best deals in New York? Until recently there were 2 options: the outlets outside the city (not always easily accessible- such as Jersey Gardens or Woodbury Common Premium Outlet) and Century 21(essential but still requiring a certain amount of patience to find some rare jewels! This era has fortunately now gone and passed with the recent opening of Empire Outlet. Housing more than a hundred boutiques, this new shopping center with slashed prices opened its doors in May 2019 in Staten Island and will be reachable from the Whitewall Terminal via the Staten Island Ferry, which is free!
