I don’t know about you, but the warmer the weather gets, the more appealing the ocean becomes. As beautiful as it may be, New York City can become an absorbing heat-trap among the asphalt and concrete between the tall buildings and narrow streets. When the weather gets unbearable, I recommend exploring the city in an alternative way- take one of many New York City cruises to enjoy the sun, the breeze, and of all importance, the views.
It’s easy to forget that New York City is essentially an island. It’s so easy to get caught up in the isolationism of Manhattan, and it’s incredibly convenient to hop on a train to one of the other boroughs, but there’s nothing like a cruise to radically change your perspective of the city. Cruises are most appreciable during spring and summer, however I enjoy them in the winter too. The weather makes for incredible and unexpected landscapes!
