Harlem Week in New York City
This summer from July 29th to August 25th, the annual Harlem Week Festival will take place in New York City. This festival began as Harlem Day in 1974, but due to popular demand, the celebration extended its stay. This summer marks the 44th annual celebration that you do not want to miss. Harlem Week offers over 100 events showcasing the community’s unique flavor, promoting Harlem’s rich African, African-American, Caribbean, Hispanic and European history, culture, arts, religion, entertainment and sports. Harlem Week features both outdoor and indoor music concerts, The Upper Manhattan Auto Show, Film festivals, Percy Sutton Harlem 5K Run & Health Walk, Sporting events, Adult and children’s fashion shows, Youth programs and activities, Career fairs, HBCU Fair & Expositions, and much more.
